Beach House Weekend, Oct. 17-19

After our wonderful trip to the North Umpqua river, I couldn't imagine that we could have even more fun.  But beach house weekend surpassed my expectations.  I had rented a new house in hopes of having more room and a more accessible beach.  It was called "Rustic Retreat" and had 5 bedrooms and slept 10.  Turns out it was just enough room.  But it really was "rustic".  The decor was decidedly early 70's that hadn't been updated, including the kitchen appliances and cookware.  It was shabby (not "shabby chic"), but that was perfect for our needs.  We didn't have to worry too much about tracking in sand or having Freddy with us.  Attending were Jeff and I, Neil and Carol (Friday night) Betsy and Robert (Saturday night) Emily, Fred and Ruben, and Sharon, Gretchen and little Carsen.  The weather was absolutely perfect and the full moon added mystique.  All I can say is that it was fabulous in every way.  Here are some pictures that Neil and Jeff and I took of our adventures.

We were so happy to have Sharon, Gretchen and Carson join us from Bend.  What a blast to pass Carsen around from Auntie to Auntie!

Sweetness!

Carsen, please eat my phone so I can get a new one!

Auntie love.

Gotta love the hat.

The full moon was setting as we got up on Saturday morning.

So close you could almost touch it.

Emily and Fred provided breakfast service with a smile!

How I love my  daughter (and her cooking).

Rustic Retreat--so easy to get to the beach!

Freddy got kicked out but made his presence known.
I gave my camera to Ruben who captured my best side.

Walkers on the beach enjoy the view.

We had such a wonderful time.  I can't express how much it means to me to be able to enjoy this time with my family.  Thanks for all who came and helped make the weekend so special.  And save the date for February 14th next year.
